I'm looken' for some fellow Burners (other people who go to Burning Man) from Fort Collins. Just moved into town about 7 months ago and I'm trying to hook up with the local contingent. Maybe we can get some billion bunny marches, beer crawls, santa con's and other gatherings started??? collaborative art installations for the playa??

Any burners (like me) most likely not going to make it to Burning Man '06?? I'm interested in setting up some sort of - much more local - weekend long camping trip... or join one that might already be set up?? for the stragglers.

Since my arrival, I have made a couple posts, spoken with a couple of you... and worked my brain to exhaustion editing the show. Now, the show is complete, I have time to devote energy to finding my place in the community at last. It seems as though it will be an exciting adventure, as Colorado is full of such great positive energies and I have noticed a magnificent force that seems to just drive life in great directions.

I live in Fort Collins, own a video production company, spin staff, my fiance spins poi. Anyone who reads this and would be interested in any of the following, or comes up with any ideas, they are all great! You will probably see me pop up on Colorado tribes here and there and everywhere... welcome into my life!

I know 2 people in this town... if you are one HELLO!!! If not, I would love to meet you. I have just left my community of thousands of my closest friends, and am now on an adventure for new ones.
I would love to find out who is out there... and start coordinating some events. Anyone? Anyone?

The intent for this Ceremony is to courageously go deeper into the
innate beauty and power of our physical vessel. Cacao (chocolate) is a
wonderful tool for this, and we will be invoking he Cacao Goddess &
God for this purpose.

The attendance will be limited so please arrive early.

Seeking hiking partners for the Boulder to Fort Collins area, including RMNP. Prefer relatively easy to moderate trails of about 2-6 miles in length, round trip, but will work up to more as I get more fit. Also prefer to be able to take a dog, but that's not a necessity.

I'd especially love to find other women to go hiking with, but am open to anyone who wants some company on the trails, particularly if you share some of my interests so we can have some good conversation (or we can hike in silence and just enjoy the scenery!)

My idea of a nice hike is to head out for a few miles, stop for lunch or a snack and maybe read a book or just nature watch, and then hike back. I'm not into serious rock climbing or beating my own path through the wilderness, nor do I feel the need to tackle a trail at break neck speed. Thirty- and forty-somethings would probably be a better match than young things.

If you're interested, let me know!

I like living in the Twin Cities just fine but I've lived here for several years and I'd like to move to a warmer and more scenic part of the country. I've been saveing up money for a few months now and now I plan on renting a truck and moving to the Fort during the last half of October. All i need now is a place to live!

More about me: I'm laid back but quite responsible. I always pay my bills on time. I'm very respectful of others and their property. I'm a very tolerant person and have a live and let live philosophy. I'm a vegetarian. I enjoy bikeing, I'm a year round bike commuter here in the frozen tundra of MN. I'm not a huge partier but I like to go out every now and then. I work full time at an assisted living facility for senior citizens in Minneapolis.

I'd have to find a job upon arrival in Fort Collins but with my healthcare experience I should be able to find something rather quickly. I have enough money saved up to last a little while without a job but I hate being unemployed so looking for a job is my first priority. Well, I don't hate being unemployed, I just hate not haveing any money comeing in.

Well, if there's any interested takers or know anybody who might be, please resond to this thread.

Thank you and peace and hope to hear from you soon.

1,2,3, Czech, Czech, Czech Beamed up from Prague Like Star Trek I got lines going on to infinity Some call me a poet and some a divinity But I never take me too seriously Living on the edge deliriously Future evolution depends on our decisions NOW Surmounting every difficulty like Chairman Mao Learning about everything and how to learn more Watch in awe as my thoughts soar This mystery into which we delve Will all be revealed in 2012 Time's illusory hold is broken The WORD again is spoken Thus ends the hypermaterialist age Star children released from the cage Of "normal" human limitation The REAL real thing, no imitation Out in the multiverse at last Eternal visions of bliss so vast To make us all forget what's past Present Future moves so fast Like lightning strikes Twice from our mics Word cascading like Niagra Falls in your lap like Viagra Keeps your booty shaking As Armageddon's quaking My rhyme's erect it's never flaccid Complex Like Deoxyrhibose Nucleic Acid Been up all night I keep going and going and going Where this will stop there's no way of knowing Leo/Dragon's my horoscope I'm pyrotechnic like a Great White dope I'm on FIRE and EVERYTHING is funny I'm the freakin Energizer bunny It's inside me there's always more Like my man Jack Bauer on 24 Plugged in blissed out I'm inspired Into COSMIC CONSCIOUSNESS I'm hardwired I'll live forever or I'll die tryin At LIGHTSPEED I'm time defyin Real SIRIUS, like the Dog Star And delirious, like the Drug Czar Makin my own synchronicity May seem like egocentricity I've got my flaws, but live life to the hilt LOVE AND DO WHAT THOU WILT Third eye's ON like I got X-RAY SPEX Driven to the edge of Cassandra Complex But I roll with the shocks Putting everything back in Pandora's Box The golden apple goes to the fairest I'm dress to thrill, ALL HAIL ERIS! Sacrifce to Bacchus another Red Bull While Giving thanks and being mindful Of all the joy that surrounds us Even when all the bullshit hounds us Back on Earth where we live life Death, rebirth and the afterlife "And I'm sailing away..." Live in the NOW, live for today The river Styx we all will cross In Hades, I'll be MY BOSS 'NON SERVIAM!' I'll tell the ruler Install central air,now that's cooler In the Underworld without a care All my best friends are there The Communist Party has hit the beaches See how far our conspiracy reaches Even in the depths of HELL We know how to party well We'll open a club, call it Heaven It'll be rockin 24-7 Dionysian revels I'm not joshin' Orgiastic, Hieronymous Boschin' Sure it's hot and plenty smoky But that's OK I know the doorman, Loki We like it spicy got no taste for mild Party motor running REBORN TO BE WILD We're quantuum mechanics under the hood Metaprogramming for the common good Einstien's Relativity, E=MC2 Good times are best when they are shared Cup runneth over, a cornucopia An underground network has created Utopia We make the rules by which the game is played Got a grip on the Eternal Golden Braid So if you're down with what we're professing Come with us we're effervescing To these naked truths we're undressing Love one another, it's a blessing!
It was great to hear the storm today even if it didn't really rain. I love the year's first sound of thunder. So rich and thought provoking.
- What is your favorite aspect of Fort Collins life?
- What do you like to do in town and where do you like to hang out?
- Etc...
