OK, so the wifey and I are moving to Fort Collins at the end of June and of course we need a place to live. SO, if any of ya'lls are in the know on a place that might fit the bill, well holla at me. like quick! We're just looking for a place to rent for a few months till we figure out where in the city we want to buy. We have a dog a cat and a plethora of fish. A house would be preferable, but we're open to anything that works.
Even if you don't know of any open dwellings, please reply back to this thread with what you know about the cost of housing in the Fort. Say in the 2-3 bedroom (700-1000 square feet) size range (and a garage would be nice).
Thanks for your help!!

Re: Place to live in FTC
Wed, May 3, 2006 - 7:04 AMA 2-3 bedroom house with a garage will run you between 750 to 1000, depending on how nice it is and which neighborhood you are in. You may have a hard time finding a place to just rent for a few months, though. Most landlords like an August to August lease term. There are tons of places for rent, though. I don't have any specific leads for you, but you should check out some of these sites:
www.sc.colostate.edu/ocss_ral/type.cfm
www.sublet.com/Spider/LeAreaList.asp
www.collegian.com/
Good luck, I would recommend trying to find a place to live near Old Town, it's really nice in that area, especially during the summer.

Re: Place to live in FTC
Wed, May 3, 2006 - 12:38 PMright now, at the end of the semester, there's TONS of places for rent. i second the whole living in old town thing, it's great. close to campus, the hospital, old town. the houses tend to have a lot more character.
i've seen lots of signs posted by this company, so i'd assume that they have stuff to rent.

Re: Place to live in FTC
Mon, May 22, 2006 - 3:34 PMagain, thanks for the info Tim and Kim. I found a few places that might work from the Mountain n plains web site and the shared housing site as well. The search goes on though. Looking to arrive in time for a July 1st lease, so let me know if any FTC tribers or friends have a lead on a place to live. Thanks!
